What’s it like to go to an event at Dolby Live?

Dolby Live’s size strikes just the right balance. Taking up 150,000 square feet, it’s large enough for every performance to feel like a major event. However, it’s also still small enough to help each performer form a strong, magic bond with their audience. 

The theater was designed with this in mind. It’s why no seat is further than 145 feet away from the stage. There’s also a 4K LED video wall measuring 80” x 40”, enabling you to see close-ups of the best moments in stunning resolution.

You might already be accustomed to hearing Dolby Atmos sound when streaming music, but what about live? With the auditorium’s 402 speakers, you can feel as though you are in the music. For example, backing vocals can sound like they are literally behind your back.

As locals will know, the Las Vegas Strip is located not strictly in the city of Las Vegas but instead immediately south of it. The Strip – as it is casually known – is about four miles long, taking in the unincorporated towns of Paradise and Winchester.

Dolby Live is situated in Paradise – and aptly so. There’s so much to do in the surrounding Park MGM complex as well as slightly further afield, the exotic excitement can feel never-ending.

Park MGM itself sits on Las Vegas Boulevard, a major road in Nevada’s Clark County area. So, people with tickets to Dolby Live shows don’t have to detour far to check out the Strip’s other attractions, including casinos and restaurants.
