ABOUT SAMMY HAGAR

Singer-songwriter Sammy Hagar entered the music scene as singer of classic rock band Montrose. Together with the band, Hagar released the Smahsing hit single, “I Can’t Drive 55” in 1984. After his two year stint with the band, he embarked on his solo career and found massive commercial success. In 1985, he was recruited to join Van Halen after the departure of David Lee Roth, and performed and recorded with the band for over a decade. Hagar’s incredible work with Van Halen earned him a place at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when Van Halen was inducted in 2007. Today, Hagar continues to perform Van Halen songs, along with a few Montrose favorites. During his gigs, Hagar has been known to cover Depeche Mode, Alice in Chains, Procol Harum, and tons more.
