American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and dancer Bruno Mars began his music career in the mid-2000s, writing songs for Alexandra Burke, Travie McCoy, Adam Levine, Brandy, Sean Kingston, and Flo Rida. Mars rose to fame in 2010 when he composed and featured on B.o.B's "Nothin' on You" and Travie McCoy's "Billionaire", both of which peaked within the top ten on many charts worldwide, with the former charting at number one in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and in the UK single charts. That same year, he released his debut studio album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, which peaked at number three on the US Billboard 200 and reached the top in Canada, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands and in the United Kingdom albums charts.
